Privacy notice

A plain-language look at the information EatEasy handles.

This is an informational draft for EatEasy. It is not legal advice, and the founder should have counsel review it before relying on it.

EatEasy is built to make dinner decisions easier—not to collect more information than the features need. This notice describes the information currently handled by the site and beta tools.

Information we currently handle

Account information

When you create or use an EatEasy account, we handle the information you provide for the account, such as your name, email address, and authentication-related information. We use it to create and secure your account, let you sign in, and provide account support.

Founder-beta applications

If you apply for the Founder Beta, we collect the details in your application: your name, email address, dinner challenge, cooking-time preference, and any optional dietary notes you choose to share. We use this information to review applications, manage the beta, and contact applicants about it. Please do not include medical details in optional notes.

Meal plans and pantry entries

For beta planning features, we handle the preferences and content you save or generate, including household size, budget, cooking-time and protein preferences, food likes and dislikes, grocery-store preferences, meal plans, recipes, grocery-list details, and pantry ingredient entries. We use this information to provide and improve the planning features for your account.

Analytics and attribution

We use basic analytics and attribution signals to understand how people find and use EatEasy. These signals can include page activity, device or browser information, analytics identifiers, session information, and campaign parameters such as UTM tags. We may pass limited attribution information with a checkout link so a purchase can be connected to its source.

Checkout and payment information

Checkout is hosted through the MadeThis platform. EatEasy does not store card numbers or payment-method details. Payment information is entered and handled within the platform-hosted checkout experience, not on EatEasy’s site.

Planned feature

Photo uploads are not live yet.

EatEasy may add photo uploads in a future feature, but this functionality is not currently available. When enabled, photos users choose to upload may be stored and processed to provide that feature.

Please do not upload sensitive personal information, including medical, financial, identity, or other private information.

Before launch, this notice will be updated with the specific decisions for:

Storage and access: where uploaded photos are stored and who can access them.
Retention and deletion: how long photos are kept and how deletion requests or account deletion affect them.
Moderation and safety: any review, reporting, abuse-prevention, or safety controls that apply to uploads.
